WoodRidge Supportive Living Residence is a participant in the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services Supportive Living Program – a program designed as an alternative to skilled nursing care which brings affordable housing and a wide array of services to seniors 65 and older.
Eligibility
At WoodRidge, we strive to give residents control over their lives and encourage independence and socialization, while offering the safety and security of 24 hour support should the need arise.WoodRidge Supportive Living Residence is a participant in the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services Supportive Living Program – a program designed as an alternative to skilled nursing care which brings affordable housing and a wide array of services. WoodRidge residents must be at least 65 years old and meet facility and state screening standards.
Nursing/Personal Care Services
We work closely with local home health services, dentists, podiatrists and ophthalmologists to ensure quality care for our residents. Nursing care is provided seven days a week. A licensed nurse is on call 24 hours a day. CNA ‘s are available 24 hours a day to assist with personal cares such as bathing, dressing and grooming. Our staff members can provide medication reminders and assist in dispensing medications if requested. Nursing staff are able to administer basic health screenings such as blood pressure monitoring, pulse oximetry and blood sugar testing.
One of the greatest advantages of supportive living is the security of knowing that assistance is only a moment away. All of the apartments are equipped with emergency response systems, which are readily accessible from two places within each apartment. Safety checks are made daily by our staff for additional security.Since maintaining a relationship with your physician is essential to ensuring continuity of medical care, WoodRidge can assist you in scheduling your medical appointments, and provide transportation to get you there. WoodRidge Supportive Living Residence is conveniently located near hospitals and clinics.
Premier Dining Experience
These meals are designed by a registered dietician, are prepared fresh daily and offer a variety of choices. Lighter fare alternatives are always available. We also offer 24 hour Café style snack bar where snacks and drinks are always available.
Family and friends are always invited to join residents for meals. A separate table will be set up so you can enjoy a private meal together. Advance notice is recommended. There is a small cost for all guest meals.
Activities
All activities are designed to encourage socialization and stimulation both physically and mentally. Outings outside of WoodRidge consists of casinos, parks, town events, etc. The daily activities and special events offer something for everyone’s tastes and hobbies. The following social activities are just a sample of activities are held within our community:

Transportation
We have a weekly outing for shopping, banking, and other personal activities. Transportation is provided by a Woodridge-employed chauffeur, who charter our buses that hold 14 residents including 2 wheelchair seats.
Housekeeping/Laundry Services
Laundry service is provided as well. All resident’s laundry laundered by our staff is done individually to prevent losses. If you enjoy doing your own laundry, you are welcome to use the resident laundry room with complimentary detergent. Ironing boards and irons are also available.
Financial Aid
A member of WoodRidge’s staff is available to assist with the entire admission process including the financial paperwork and applying for aid. For those who receive Medicaid WoodRidge offers the ideal alternative to assisted living care. At WoodRidge, you will maintain your independence while residing in an upscale comfortable facility surrounded by your peers and receive quality services combined with all the amenities of home. Apartments
Features include a kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave, a full bathroom with a private shower designed with safety as a priority, two large closets with plentiful storage space, decorative window treatments and lighting, as well as wall to wall carpeting. Heat and air conditioning are controlled individually by the apartment resident. Numerous parking spaces are conveniently located near the apartments for residents who drive, as well as for their visitors.
